How often should you dry clean your suits?
A good suit is an investment, and like any investment it rewards a little attention. The most common question we hear at the counter is simple: how often should this go to the cleaners?
For a suit you wear once a week, cleaning every four to six wears is a sensible rhythm. Suits worn only occasionally can often go a full season between cleanings, as long as they’re brushed down and aired out after each wear.
What matters more than a fixed schedule is paying attention to the suit itself. Visible spots, lingering odors, or a collar that’s lost its freshness are all signs it’s time — even if it’s only been worn twice.
A few habits stretch the time between cleanings: rotate your suits so no single one carries the whole week, hang them on wide wooden hangers, and give them a day to rest before wearing again.
And when a spill happens, resist the urge to scrub. Blot gently, bring it in, and tell us what it was — coffee and salad dressing need very different treatment, and the sooner we know, the better the result.
